Two questions about the weather, please answer?

If you live in Michigan, you should know that there is an area of cool air in Canada locked up to your north, and it does not seem to have budged very far. And as for your second question, it should be quieter, as I do not think that the Pacific will be undergoing any kind of abnormal water surface temperatures. (This year is a La Nina year, and there by all the severe weather,)
