Why is it wrong to offer real help?

Just saw a commercial about sponsoring a kid who drinks from mud puddles and eats dry rice in a third world sht hole. Just seventy cents a day. Could you say no to little achmed umfufu? Yes, seventy cents a day is not going to help. His mom needs to stop breeding kids she cannot afford. I called and offered to adopt, they say no, the child would rather stay where he is. Ok, what kid would turn down a nice home, real education along with toys etc to stay in a refrigerator box, eating bugs and drinking from a urine filled ditch?
