How to save career in F1 2010 on PC?

I downloaded the game few days ago. But I need a windows live account. So I created it. Then, it asks me for a cd/serial key and it has to be a unique one. Now I don't know what to do. Please help. If anyone has another method to save the game I would be very grateful. I really need to save my career...
