Should I get facebook?

I don't want to end up spending too much time on it. Normally I wouldn't get it but I am curious, I seem to miss things that people only put on facebook, and every so often some of my friends say: "Why don't you have facebook?" or "You should get facebook!". I realize everyone get their accounts ages ago and I'm a bit late but what do you think? Is it worth it?
