Got caught stealing! first offense?

i got caught shoplifting. the stuff i was stealing added up to about seventy five dollars. they took me to jail and i had to stay there all night. i have a court date coming up for it and i cant even sleep i am so worried! i dont know what to expect because this is the first time i have ever been in trouble for anything. this is my first offense. what should i expect when i go and is there any way that they would put me back in jail. i live in ky. by the way.
